How Do I Choose a Mural My Child Won't Grow Out Of?

Leave it to the professional! As a mother, Michelle understands that children go through phases. What's perfect for your newborn, may be too cutesy by the time they're six. Michelle has an uncanny ability to determine what will work for your child's personality (or for your decor).

She creates scenes that will take them from the cradle to high school and beyond, scenes that also appeal to your sense of style. Wherever your child's imagination takes them, if you're in Southern California, wall murals by Michelle brings it to life!

What Is Faux Painting?

The word "faux" (pronounced "foe") is French for fake, the illusion of reality. Faux painting, or faux finishes, are decorative paintings using non-traditional applicators (rags, trowels, a variety of artists' brushes, etc.) to create imprints or images on surfaces.

Faux painting enhances your decor much more than any item of furniture or artwork. It surrounds you with larger-than-life, living works of art, in your favorite colors.

How Does It Work?

The unusual applicators, along with contrasting paint colors, create light and dark areas that gives flat walls the look of texture. Ordinary surfaces such as walls, fireplaces, or wooden columns, etc., are faux painted to look like extraordinary wallpaper, rich marble, fine leather, or any look you want.

What's The Process, Once I Call?

As Michelle's client, you'll appreciate that she works with one client at a time, from start to finish. This is the process:

  • We make an appointment for a free-no obligation estimate, to view my extensive portfolio and samples. During a relaxed meeting, we get to know each other while discussing the project in depth, and I make a note of clients' likes and dislikes.
  • Client receives a written estimate.
  • Once a price is agreed upon, I collect a deposit.
  • We choose colors, I make a Sample Board for clients' approval, and we set a start date
  • When I arrive to begin the project, before I commence painting, the work area is prepped (all furnishings and flooring are well covered)
  • To assure satisfaction, throughout the painting process I request the homeowners' input and guidance.
  • Balance is due upon completion (after final walk-thru)
